What is it?- Hibiscus tea is a herbal tea, which is made by steeping not the petals but the dried calyx of hibiscus flower. The specie of hibiscus which is used for making Hibiscus tea is Hibiscus sabdariffa. In India, it is cultivated in Maharashtra and adjoining areas.
Hibiscus tea has already been used in African countries to decrease body temperature, treat heart disease and sooth a sore throat. In Iran, Hibiscus tea is used to treat high blood pressure.
Health Benefits- Studies have suggested that drinking Hibiscus tea may lower blood pressure, fight bacteria and even help in weight loss. In some cases, it is also found to reduce blood cholesterol and triglyceride, liver damage and fatty liver. It is also found to reduce the growth and spread of mouth, prostate and stomach cancer.
Why Us- Our Hibiscus flowers tea has a tart flavour, similar to that of Cranberries and can be enjoyed both hot and cold. Hibiscus tea in itself is naturally caffeine free and has zero calories.
Tip- It can be sweetened using honey or another sweetening agent, not to forget that, added sugar will only add to your calories.

- Brewing Instruction for Hot Tea
- a) Green tea- 1 tsp or 1 tea bag/ cup*Temp 60-70c * time 2-3 min
- b) Flower tea—1 tsp or 1 tea bag/ cup*Temp 90-100c * time 4-5 min
- c) Fruit tea- 1 tsp or 1 tea bag/ cup*Temp 90-100c * time 7-8 min
- d) Herbal tea—1 tsp or 1 tea bag/ cup*Temp 90-100c * time 4-5 min
- Brewing Instruction for Iced Tea
- a) Green tea- 2 tsp/2 tea bags/half glass* temp 60-70c *Time 2-3 min. Fill the remaining glass with iced water.
- b) Flower tea—2 tsp/2 tea bags/ half glass * temp 90-100 c* Time 4-5 min.Fill the remaining glass with iced water.
- c) Fruit tea- 2 tsp/2 tea bags/ half glass *temp 90-100c*Time 7-8 min.Fill the remaining glass with iced water.
- d) Herbal tea—2 tsp/2 tea bags/half glass * temp 90-100c*Time 4-5 min. Fill the remaining glass with iced water.
- Keep In Mind
- 1) Do not leave the green tea bag in the teacup itself (until and unless you want it strong), it will make your tea bitter.
- 2) Do not squeeze your tea/ tea bag, it will make your tea bitter.
- 3) Do not use very hot water (+90 c) for green tea, it will make it bitter.
- 4) Remove the tea bag and reuse it up to 2-3 times, but be sure that the strength will keep on reducing.
- Storage Guide
- After opening, transfer the content to an air-tight container, away from moisture, heat, direct sunlight, and strong odor.
