Fruit Tea

Have you ever heard before about flowers being used as teas? Yes, the flowers are being brewed as and consumed as tea, therefore these are called teas, whereas these are actually infusions and hence faux teas.

Today we will introduce you to the whole new world of totally caffeine free flower tea, which is not just tea but a combination of fruit, flower, herbs and may have a tinge of a spicy note too.

Egyptians used hibiscus flower for long for its health benefits. Similarly butterfly blue pea flower is used in Thailand to make tea with coconut sugar.

When taken by itself, it is a delightful drink that is well suited for any occasion and any age group. It also makes for a great base flavour and an ideal food pairing partner. Mixing two or more flavours together makes for a much more interesting experience. Most of the common and popular flower teas have hint of fruity-spicy scent that relaxes your senses and makes them an ideal beverage to sip any time of day.

Our flower teas are good source of vitamin, minerals, fibre and anti -oxidants and contain no preservatives or artificial flavours. These are ideal for children, house wives, office goers and even the aged people. If you don’t have time for a cup of tea, then just add a few tea bags in your water bottle and enjoy the goodness of flowers and health throughout the day. You can add honey, coconut sugar or white /brown sugar to it. These can be brewed as hot teas as well as iced teas. Just double the strength when brewing for iced tea.

Lavender Flower Tea

Lavender is a beautiful purple flower which actually belongs to the Mint family and so does Basil, Oregano and thyme. Lavender tea is made by brewing the purple buds of lavender flower, Lavendula angustifolia.

It is a native of the land near the Mediterranean Sea, but is also found in Middle East and in some Asian countries. It has been used in Mediterranean cuisine since ages.

In India, it is grown in the hilly terrain of Uttarakhand, Kashmir and in some parts of Uttar Pradesh. The most common variety grown in India is Sher-e-Kashmir. The alkalinity of the soil in which lavender grows directly affect its fragrance.

It has an effective concentration of calcium, vitamin A, iron and phenolic compounds.

It is found to calm nerves, improve sleep and provide many other health benefits. Its oil is most commonly used in aromatherapy to ward off anxiety, depression and fatigue. This tea is found to be very useful in boosting the mood and producing calming effect and induce better sleep. It is also been found to reduce the menstrual cramps. Enjoy a cup of hot or Cold Ice tea before going to bed.

One can also try adding a tablespoon or two (according to your desired intensity of flavour) in the homemade Muffins, ice creams, ganache etc.

But don''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''t forget to try our lavender flower tea, blended with natural herbs and spices. It is soothing and a great way to unwind.
